Having completed my degree in Chemistry, I moved to Hertfordshire to start my first full-time position, as a food chemist at the head office of a large retailer. With this business experience behind me, in 1999 I completed a PGCE to allow me to start a career I had always intended to follow: teaching.
With experience of working in 3 Hertfordshire primary schools, including 9 years as a headteacher, I joined St Catherine’s in January 2024. I am keen to build on the previous successful leadership of the school and to continue to help all members of our community to let their light shine.
Previously, I have served on the governing body of 4 Hertfordshire schools, including as a Chair of Governors. I am also currently a member of the Diocesan Board of Education and the Diocese of St Albans Educational Trust.
I attend my local church where I play regularly in the worship band. I enjoy spending time with my family, walking the dog, reading and playing cards and board games.
